I have been working with children for most of my life! When I was 14 I got my first summer job as a nanny for an extended family member. That was the summer I decided what I wanted to do with my life. All through high school, I did co-operative education classes that allowed me to work in the field. Both placements were in infant classrooms, with children aged 8 weeks to 18 months. In 2009 I started studying Early Childhood Education at Sheridan Collage. Through the collage, I partook in 3 more placements, two with kindergarten aged children, 4 & 5 years old & one with preschoolers aged 2.5-3.5 years old. I graduated Collage in 2010 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and got a job right away in a daycare center in Oakville. Immediately following graduation, I took a job as the Lead ECE in a Toddler Classroom, with 10 children aged 15-24 months, and stayed in that position for a year. After that, I spent 2 years working as a Toddler Teacher in a newly opened child care center in Oakville with 15 children aged 16-24 months. Currently, I am working for the Peel District School Board in Full Day Kindergarten, and am looking for some opportunities for the summer months (June 29th - August 31st). I am a motivated, self starter, who loves what she does for a living and is always looking for a new challenge :)
