I have been a Designated Early Childhood Educator with the Peel District School Board since September 2012. Recently I completed my Bachelor of Education at Brock University and my membership with OCT is pending upon graduation. Throughout my post secondary education, I have completed four college placements, a college graduate international experience, and two university placements. I have experience working with a variety of families and children ranging from infants to teenagers. These opportunities have taken place in daycares, alternative settings, classrooms and three amazing international experiences in China, Scotland and Japan.
I display maturity and I am self directed. Working with children is my passion and this opportunity will increase my experiences and learning. I was on the Dean’s Honour List and graduated at the top of my class. I can articulate theories effectively in relation to curriculum, child development and play-based learning. I take pride in what students explore and learn and I want them to be celebrated. Constructive criticism is welcomed and helps me grow as an educator. I am patient and can deal with challenges with a joyful disposition. I build strong and positive relationship that are long lasting.
