We are an active family with a four year old daughter, two year old son and a yellow labrador

  • Job Description

    Hi everyone,
Our family is looking for a live-out caregiver for our 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 8 hours a day, to begin in January. Our kids love to be outdoors and they both attend various activities. Our daughter attends preschool Monday and Wednesday afternoons and all day Friday and our son has activities through out the week.
The criteria we’d be looking for is as follows:
    - updated infant/toddler CPR certification
    - criminal record check
    - ability to cook healthy, toddler-friendly meals
    - valid BC driver’s license (this is essential as we need help with taking our kids to activities and preschool)
    - must be ok with light house keeping and meal prepping
We live in west Point Grey and would prefer having someone who does not have a long commute to get here. We do have a yellow Labrador so you must be ok with dogs.
Pay will be $25 per hour. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada as well.
Look forward to hearing from you!

  • Important Information

The main role of a nanny is to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the children thrive and develop. General responsibilities include undertaking tasks related to the children’s care which evolve as kids grow. Attentive, high quality childcare includes planning the children’s daily schedule, play and development activities appropriate to the child's age. In addition typically nannies are responsible for meal preparation for the kids, and keeping the children’s areas neat and tidy.

Being a nanny means becoming a member of a household. Communicating with the family and clarifying their expectations is one of the most important aspects. No family is the same, and following their lead is key in succeeding through the interview and hiring process.
