Hello, My name is Wendy and I began my Health care career after my father battled with complications from Diabetes and Dementia. My mother was overwhelmed with the 24 hour care he needed. After discussing with my own family, I resigned from a well paying ,secure position to help with his care. He passed away in 2004 and 2 months later I applied to work in Home Care and devoted my career to helping others like my father and their families. I became a Health Care Aide to further my education and to be able to help more substantially. I simply love the work I do. Every single day their is at least one thing or a word said that confirms why I do this for a living. It can be that huge smile after finishing someones care when there is a language barrier, or the sincere "thank you" that I receive just before leaving, or the genuine greeting at the door that they were waiting for my visit. I hope whoever reads my message knows that I will be someone that you can depend on and care for your loved one with sincerity. I am a compassionate, caring mother of two boys that are 18 and 24.
