Hello there,
My name is Talia and I am looking for potential full-time/ part-time, live out nanny opportunities. I am a 20 year old student from Calgary alberta, although I am currently attending school in Edmonton, Alberta. I live and work in Calgary from May- September and am presently available for childcare opportunities.
I have lived with nanny's myself since I was 7 years old and loved growing up with them, SO I know exactly what to expect from a good nanny/ babysitter going into these opportunities. I currently have no nanny experience, but I have been certified with my babysitting RedCross certificate and CPR, and have been babysitting with that since I was 12 years old. I also grew up as the oldest out of 4 kids in my family, and that's more babysitting experience most adults can say they have currently.
I also took a year away from my studies to travel and while doing so, I was able to associate myself with various organizations that help communities and children. I worked with 2 organization in Cambodia, and 1 in Vietnam (hence the profile picture) doing various jobs such as working in day cares, helping organize after-school activities (eg. beach clean ups and building boats for games with the debris we found), and teaching English.
As I said before, I am currently a student in Edmonton, but live in SW Calgary as my permanent residence. I am in-between setting up work schedules with a previous employer of mine as a concierge, but I would rather be setting up a working position with a family for the summer. I worked at an Earls restaurant since I was 16, so I am used to cleaning up after babies and managing myself under high-energy situations involving kids.
I come from a family who loves kids. My sister is in school to become a pediatrician and I have the guidance of my loving mom who worked for years helping with youth social work/ children in foster care and children with disabilities. She is now a high school teacher.
