About Me
PLEASE NOTE: I am no longer seeking work as nanny. However available for babysitting on evenings or weekends.
______________________________________________________________________I want to be a live out nanny because for as long as I could remember I have enjoyed caring for babies and children. Coming from a large immediate family and a large extended family, I have a lot of experience in caring for babies, and children. I come from a family with 6 children. At the the age of 4, I was eager to help my mom when my little brother was born. I have 3 younger siblings and I helped out as much as my parents saw fit. My caring, nurturing nature was evident from a very young age.
Children have always held a special place in my heart. They light up my world, and it would be very rewarding to be part of a child's care and development. I thoroughly enjoyed my OB rotation as a student nurse, I got the opportunity to work with new mothers and their newborn babies. From the very first day in OB, during orientation, I demonstrated to a new mother an effective technique for getting milk to flow. In that moment I had no hesitations, or doubts [even though I had learnt the technique a couple days earlier], as I thought to myself: “This is where I’m meant to be!”
As a nanny, I have experience with cleaning, cooking, doing laundry and pet-sitting as well. I love dogs! and cuddly cats are nice too.
Currently I participate in Nursery care at my church, taking care of infants, pre-toddlers and toddlers during the church service. Mothers often comment on the good rapport I have with their children, as I easily make a connection with the little ones, and this helps build trust and helps me understand their needs better, as they are more open with me.
I am a great fit for the role as a live out Nanny because I am intuitive, and a good listener, and I think these two qualities are very important when building rapport with a family, and gaining your trust as I care for your little one(s), as well as gaining your child's trust.
My gentle personality, and calming demeanour can offer comfort to families and their babies/ children in need. I am a good fit as a nanny because I really enjoyed supporting children thru their emotional struggles. I am patient, non-judgmental, and I set boundaries particularly with intense/ testy children. Since I am committed to life-long learning, I feel that working with children gives me the opportunity to learn all the time, and this gives me great joy.
For me child care (and nursing) is a privilege. And I am honoured to be in a profession in which I get to be with persons as they go through vulnerable experiences. With families, I hope my care and attention for them and their children can offer them comfort and peace of mind that their children are in good hands.

SUlan has an open, engaging personality that kids love. My toddler was attached to me and I would have to peel her off to leave her with anyone. Once Sulan captured her little heart..she hardly noticed when I left!
