About Me
Hello my name is Sahara,
I was born and raised in Vancouver, and grew up with my family and my mom who always did childminding and after-school care from our house so I got experience caring for children from an young age.
I'm a fit and active person who loves the outdoors, and I love reading and would enjoy reading aloud to your child, as well as assisting in the process of learning to read and write. I would be described as a fun and imaginative person, and enjoy doing arts and crafts. I am dependable, responsible, honest, and trustworthy.
Growing up I helped to care for my adopted little sister who suffered severe epilepsy as well as FASD and ADHD, and have gained work experience during high school with people with varying special needs, such as Autism and Down Syndrome in a classroom setting. I believe that with your directions, I would be more than equipped for caring for your child's individual needs.
I do not have a criminal record check, but I'm willing to get one.
I am available Tuesday after 10am, Weds - Friday anytime after 2:30, Mondays after 4, and anytime on the weekends.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, and I'm available to meet anytime at your convenience to chat or meet.

Sahara is my daughter. I would say that Sahara is more responsible than most young adults of her age, and she is very practical. She is a p/t UBC student. She grew up learning about child-minding as I cared for children of different ages, as well as we adopted a child with intellectual disabilities so Sahara has a lot of patience and is not surprised by behaviors. Sahara is a good artist with imagination and loves to read. Sahara has worked p/t previously in the food service sector and can make some tasty snacks. Also, Sahara does not smoke or take drugs. I recommend Sahara as an attentive and trustworthy carer for your child(ren).
