With 3 years experience as a live-in nanny, and 8 years of teaching experience focused on motivation and student growth, I have proven ability to initiate tasks, take direction, and communicate effectively.
As a teen I loved to babysit and had a successful summer job as a playground supervisor. As a young adult I enjoyed 1. 5 years in England as a nanny for a 3 year old. More recently, I worked 3 years as a Teacher Aide in the Nanaimo public school system, and 5 years as an ESL teacher in Taiwan and South Korea, with students 2 to 52 years old. Special interest includes 5 years volunteer work, living in community with yoga, tai chi and meditation retreat centres in Canada and the US.. Most recently I was a live-in nanny in Calgary and Edmonton.. Previous to those great experiences I worked in the classroom at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo as a notetaker for students with disabilities.
My interests include: nature walks, swimming, yoga, and reading. I am a tidy person, employ a simple healthy lifestyle, and am a happy mother of a childless adult son.
