Hi. My name is Rene, I am 30 years old. I have provided child care for eighteenteen years, having provided for all age groups from newborn to adults with disabilities. I have provided child and youth care in families homes, group homes and treatment centres and in my own home as a Semi-Independent Living (SIL) placement. I have experience with adults with disabilities in a day program and group home as a support staff.
Currently, I work for an agency as a Home Visitation Practitioner where I educate and assist first time parents with child development. I offer resources and we work on goals together. I work Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and truly enjoy my job. I am looking to add some part time casual (occasional) babysitting to compliment my day job.
I enjoy interacting with children and offer games, crafts and other activities. I am willing to do light house cleaning as well. I can work in the evenings on weekdays and weekends at various hours however prefer not to do overnights (please ask for clarification on the times I am available via message or on the phone). I have my own vehicle, CPR/First Aid, cultural sensitivity training, WHIMIS and food safety among other courses.
On a more personal side, I enjoy swimming, yoga and dance. When I can find the time I scrapbook and enjoy baking. I have one sister who I am close to and infact live with here in the city.
If you are looking for someone to babysit casually for an occasional evening out, I am your lady. I have a fairly flexible social life, I am loyal, reliable, honest and willing to work. I have references available upon request.
