I am a young bilingual Australian, recently moved to Montréal, with a work permit.
I am searching for a position working with children, including with summer day
camps. I have experience working with children of all ages, from babies to
teenagers. I speak English, intermediate French, some Arabic and some Spanish. I
really love children and it is very special for me to work with them. I have babysat,
tutored, coached and been a youth worker with children ranging from nine months
to eighteen years old and I have a lot of confidence being around them. I am
especially interested in environments that foster children’s creativity and
imagination. I have plenty references that I can provide, some of which are for
working with children. Also, I have recently obtained my police check which I can
provide. I have a First Aid certification, though it is currently obsolete, though I
can get a recertification if necessary.
I love learning about the world; I studied International Studies, including politics,
philosophy and Arabic, and I am very passionate about social justice and the
environment. Being Australian, I am a native English speaker and I also have
intermediate spoken and basic written French. Last year, I studied in England,
worked in the French Alps and travelled to seven other European countries.
Throughout my life, I have been very active in activism and community and
cultural activities; I received an award from the Mayor of the City of Sydney and, as
of this year, my school even has a community services award named after me.
I am available to start immediately and I am open to full-time, part-time or casual
work depending on what is needed. For summer day camps, I am currently
available all of the summer.
