Hey there! I am Nathalie, a teaching assistant who works at midtown Toronto. I have been working with children since summer 2012, starting as a camp counsellor for the YMCA Day Camps.

As a teaching assistant, I have worked with children of all ages - from toddlers to preschoolers, kindergartens and school age! I programmed educational and fun aged appropriate activities before and after school for the students.

Working with children for around 6 years, it has made me aware of the developmental needs of children and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge. It is also important to note that I have developed the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional disposition and I have the physical and emotional stamina to supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.

For the past two summers, I have been working as a behavioural specialist for the YMCA Day Camps. I provided camp staff with behaviour management strategies they can use to help ensure the success of all children in camp and supported campers that may be having difficulty, or require additional support. I ensured effective communication with parents, guardians and staff and demonstrated the ability to maintain and deal with sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.

I am CPR-SFA trained and I can obtain a vulnerable sector check if you need it.
