Based on my Previously Coupling the knowledge and experience as an employee, I have gained with my passion for aged care has lead me to the participation in this program, and hopefully is just the beginning of my continued involvement in the sector originally stemmed from my decision, to work and during this time have still felt an overwhelming sense of passion to continue to be a part of the sector.
I had the privilege (as part of a team) to support the implementation of minor and major improvements that directly impacted on the living arrangements of clients and working atmosphere of employees in the facilities. Through such activities, my interest to continue contributing and being involved in elderly care deepened.
I believe older individuals have such a great life experience and so many great stories to share. We younger people should be more open to learn from their experiences, respect and care more for them and utilize their life skills more often. I am hoping to somehow reduce the gap that exists between older individuals and youngsters, bring these two populations closer to each other and inspire younger people that working within elderly care is fun and rewarding.
