I am a recent Queen's University graduate, and am currently in school to pursue my Graduate degree in Public Relations. In regard to my experience with children, I was a figure skater for fourteen years, and a coach for two of those years. I have much experience with children between the ages of 3-14 because I was an outreach tutor. I tutored young children in English, French, Math, Science and helped them excel on their reading, grammar, and public speaking skills while also building their confidence and self-esteem. I am a strong believer that every child is different and their approach to education differs, so I am very patient and understanding. I have also worked in Call Distress Centers as a volunteer and head recruiter, where I engaged with individuals who were going through stressful life situations. I provided them with a helpful ear, and a calm tone, and my support. I am very reliable and good under pressure. I, not only have experience with children, but also animals. I spent a few years caring for the well-being of animals by volunteering at the SPCA. I continue to do this on occasion and love every minute of it!
