Hi there. Having recently come back from a year long exchange in Germany, I am returning to Montreal in hopes of finding a job opportunity that supports my passion of working with people.
Being one of four girls, with two parents that are educators, the caregiving instincts are in my blood. From avidly babysitting my siblings (one with mild autism) and neighbouring children in the afternoons, to tutoring students and becoming a teacher's assistant during high school, it's always been something I loved doing. I was also granted a special opportunity upon graduation to return to my school as an employee, being an assistant to two mentally challenged students - which was extremely hands-on. This position also granted me an opportunity to be a Teacher's Aid, requiring me to aid two teachers through out their y, and was also given a group of 8 children - with severe learning disabilities and anger issues - to look after. All of those experiences (particularly at such a young age) were incredibly rewarding and assured me that I had found my niche. Even whilst I was abroad in Germany, I was able to volunteer at a senior home and take part in private tutoring for adults learning English. It's true what they say - ''teaching is in the blood. ''
Awaiting enrolment in Art Education at Concordia, I hope to make this my bread and butter. I hope you will consider my candidacy and I wish you the best of luck in your search.
