Hi, my name is Maia. I am an outgoing, reliable, mature individual with excellent interpersonal
and childcare skills. I love collaborating with parents and engaging children, and I find each
interaction fascinating. I seek to continue in childcare as I find the work tremendously
rewarding both personally and professionally. I am planning on going to school to get a degree in nursing but first I need to complete some upgrading. I am looking to work part-time and am open to occasional nannying as well. I have been working with children on and off for seven years. My most recent experience has been nannying a little girl who is now 18 months old since June 2014. I will continue working with this family until January 2015 when she will begin attending daycare. Prior to my current employment I cared for two children ages 14 months and 16 months full-time from September 2013 until June 2014. Before that I worked as a caregiver for two little girls ages 10 months and 3 years as well as 3 year old boy in Victoria for 2 years. I have also done countless amounts of baby sitting and I volunteered at a daycare for the summer of 2009 taking care of up to 6 children at a time between the ages of 8 months and 6 years. I always enjoy spending time outdoors and will take any opportunity to get outside rain or shine. I also love reading, cooking, all forms of art and music, and I play a bit of guitar. I really enjoying sharing all of these passions with children and learning about theirs. I have open availability as of January 1st and am flexible for interviews prior to this date.
