Hi there! My name is Maddy Mulcahy, I am currently a student at McMaster University studying life sciences, home for the summer with full time availability, and love caring for children! Having two younger brothers, ages 6 and 7, I have had the opportunity to help take care of them from infancy until now and through this gained a lot of experience and knowledge caring for children. I love staying active from bike rides, hikes, swimming in the summer and skiing/snowboarding in the winterI have also taught dance class (from baby ballerina, to pre-teen jazz class) as I been a dancer since the age of 3. I also babysit for many local families. Transportation would not be an issue as I have my license and personal car. I took a CPR/babysitting course a few years ago but as it does expire I plan on taking another one as soon as possible. My schedule is very open and I am ready to start as soon as possible. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. Having grown up in a family with 4 other siblings, I have found it is very important to create a strong bond with people close to you and to support one another. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny. I don’t mind doing extra duties for you, like cleaning, cooking dinner for the entire family and pet duties if needed (I love animals as well).
