Hello Parents,
I am an enthusiastic and ambitious young woman currently pursuing a degree in bachelor of science-architecture and also looking to work full time (an online degree program allows me to do this. ). I am a very active and energetic person and I love spending as much time as possible outdoors. I have been working as both a full time and part time babysitter for more than 6 years and I have loved every moment of it. I have worked with children and their parents one on one in their homes, as well as on a larger scale as a camp counsellor and a special olympics volunteer. I have worked with children as young as 1 and as old as 14.
The motivation I find in this kind of work is how truly gratifying it is to be a positive role model and friend to such influenceable minds as children. I believe in the value that compassion and patience has to a child's emotional well being, and I believe in the positive impact that well rounded people can have on a child's personal development. Working at a summer camp really showed me the difference we as adults can make to a child's path in life.
