Hello,

My husband and I just moved here as he was offered a position working with the government. Currently, I am looking for permanent work, which is why I am drawn to your temporary Child-care position - it is ideal to help supplement our income while I continue my job search.

Although I have no recent child-care experience, I did grow up as the oldest child, taking care of my younger siblings. When I was eight, my mother opened a day-care in her home, and I helped her tend to infants as well. During high-school, I was a "first-choice" baby-sitter in that both parents and their children would choose me primarily when needing care. The kiddies loved me because I would play with them, we would take walks and go to the parks, and parents loved me because I tidied up their kitchens after the children went to bed.

You want someone who is responsible, safety-oriented but also fun and loving with your children - I am all of those things. Professionally, my background is in customer service, and retail management. I have also worked for an Occupational Health and Safety company, and really do believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Most recently, I managed a charity thrift store, and although I was the youngest, least experienced manager, I also had the most energy and newest ideas, which made shopping at my store fun, and within a few months of my leadership, my store was breaking sales records and finding ways to make more contributions to the charity and their programs.

Working as your in-home child-care provider would be perfect for me, it gets me up and earning a little money early in the day, while allowing me to continue my professional career search. I am even happy to do your grocery shopping, tidy up your home or start a load of laundry. My family is in Ontario, and so I only see my nieces and nephews through Skype and Face-Time, helping your children get ready for their days would be a treat!
