Hi EMPLOYERS. I am Leah, a Filipino caregiver, married and 31 years old. I have been in Canada for almost 5 years. I am looking for a live out full time job in Child care. I had my 3 years work experienced in taking care of the kids. I took care of 3years old and 1year old that time. I am patience, organized person, always wanted to learned new things, willing to learn without supervision and I love kids.
Besides of that, I also had experienced working with an Elderly Client.
I took up a short course. I just recently finished Certificate III in Aged Care and did the Placement (Jewish Aged Care Facility). I was assigned in Level 2, combination of High Care and Low Care Residents with Dementia. My duties as being a Personal Care Attendant (that's what they called in here) I gave shower to the residents, assisted them in dressing, feeding and attending to their needs. I also did First Aid Training too as well as Manual Handling.
I have more than 2 years experienced in Child Care most probably in toddler and infant. My previous job was to look after 2 kids, 5 years old and 3 years old. I provide them personal care, maintain their safety, to bring them in outdoor activities, in the Library, park, R. O. M, zoo, centre island, different programs, drop and pick up from school, do adventure things like riding on the train and bus, do some arts and craft, to set a weekly fun play dates as well as lunch date with the other kids (of course with the consent of the parents), prepare nutrition foods and do very light housekeeping. I love hanging around with the kids and I can say having more than 2 years of experience was so fun, full of memories and fantastic. Not to mention way back in Philippines I had taken care of my nieces and nephews for 4 years when they were staying with us. And I can say that it was a good starting ground for me in handling kids.
Aside from the kids I have also an elderly care experienced.
