I grew up in Russia and came over to Canada 17 years ago. I have raised two successful daughters who have both completed Post Secondary Education. One of my biggest passions in life is taking care of children and assisting in their development and growth. My eldest daughter has two beautiful baby girls, however they live in France and are only able to visit for a few weeks a year. I am a hard worker and take any job I am given seriously.
For my previous Nanny job I was taking care two children ages 1 and 8. I spent the majority of the day the 1 year old, however I was responsible to drive the 8 year old girl to and from school as well as make sure that all her school work was complete prior to the arrival of her parents from work. My daily duties consisted of reading to the child, preparing specialty soups and meals for the 1 year old, assisted with potty training, making sure the child is comfortable and always clean, made sure he went down for a nap without much assistance. I took him on daily walks around the neighborhood to ensure that he was getting fresh air. I assisted in teaching him different noises that later formed into words. Helped made him aware of his surroundings and be able to name the objects that he comes into contact with on a daily basis.
I am a great cook and can cook both fantastic Russian meals and some traditional Canadian meals that kids love. My house is always tidy and I like things to have an order. I am proficient in both Russian and English and love to tell and read stories. I have a dog and am comfortable with most pets. I also have a valid drivers license and have access to a full-time vehicle.
