About Me
Hello, i am Khujista but most people call me KJ. i am an international student ( Bangladeshi), studying Psychology and Neuroscience at the Carleton University going into my fourth year of study. Since my father is a diplomat, we are often on the go. I was born in Bangladesh, raised in India, Switzerland and Thailand and moved to Canada to pursue my undergraduate degree and plan to finish my masters in Public Health in Canada. My nuclear family resides in Bangkok, Thailand, i have a younger brother who is 12 years of age and am extremely close with them. I consider myself as family orientated, moving from country to country has helped build a strong connection with my family, it helped us grow closer and understand one another's needs well, but adapting to a new environment has never been an issue for me, i always look forward to new experiences and meeting new people and would say that is one my main strengths. I have had the opportunity to go to an international school all my life and the chance to meet people from different countries and to experience in different cultures from across the world. I am also an advocate of human rights, particularly towards the female gender equality and children with disabilities. I have excellent interpersonal skills with respect to client relations and to the general public. Through philanthropy I am involved in many foreign aid, relief and rescue operations on a global scale. I am also involved in organizations such as the Student Alliance for Mental Health, Carleton University Bangladeshi Student Association and Student Mentoring.
