Hello Parents and Guardians,

My name is Kennedy. I am a twenty-one year old with an energetic spirit and a realistically positive outlook on life. My first professional childcare experience began at the age of sixteen with my first official job as a babysitter. Part of my duties included picking up a child from daycare and bringing her home where I would prepare her for bed.

I have completed the Child and Youth Work Program at Algonquin College where I was able to spend three years working within the community through field placements. During the first year of this program I worked with the Ottawa Catholic School Board alongside a second grade teacher providing assistance and support to the children as well as created and facilitated an art club. This placement allowed me the opportunity to work with children on the spectrum and to strengthen the skills learned from my program in a practical way. In my third year of the program I completed a field placement with the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa. This placement gave me the opportunity to facilitate a number of programs from academic to cooking with children from the ages of six to eighteen. This past year, I worked within a Montessori preschool with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. This past year has been a great experience and would definitely continue however, as of September I will be enrolled as a student at Carleton University taking Psychology with an overall goal of completing Teachers College.

I am available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Mornings and any time on the Weekend.
