My name is Joshua, and I am 18 years old. I attended Pacific Academy in Surrey, BC, up until Grade 6, when my family and I moved to Africa. I have been living in various countries around Africa for the past 4 and a half years, and have had a lot of experience caring for multiple children. of all ages and backgrounds. I am very good with children and animals, and would love to be able to do this for a job. I'd say my biggest hobby is karate; I am a brown belt in shotokan karate, with around 3 years of training. However, I also love doing crafts, playing with children, and going on walks.
Although I realized its not in the norm to hire a male nanny or babysitter, I hope this does not impact your decision to consider me for a job. I want to be a nanny simply because I have been around kids my entire life, and I have always had a passion for working with them. I believe that todays society has produced a stigma against hiring males as caregivers due to the stories one sees on the news. However, I have never had an issue with any children, and I have a lot of experience with children from all over the world of varying ages. I know that some people might have a hard time looking past gender, but if you can look past this I think youll see that I can be a great caregiver and role model for your child.
