Nannying is the best job out there! The difference that I love between a nanny and a sitter is that as a nanny, you become part of the family. There are not many jobs where you can love what you do as much as who you work with, and its a 2 in 1 deal in the life of a nanny. I have taken college courses in both Developmental and Educational Psychology, Nutrition, Sign Language, Physical Fitness and Stress Management. I am recently graduated from the Business Program at Okanagan College, specializing in Human Resources. I have previously nannied a family of three (9 month old, a 4 year old and a 13 year old,) responsible for them 5 days a week for a two summers in a row. More recently I nannied another family of 3, this time twins age 4 and their 7 year old brother. Duties included meal prep, laundry, house work, swimming supervision, dog walking, and driving the children where they needed to be. My experiences with working with kids have taught me things that a textbook may not have been able to. It is their energy, innocence, imagination and will to learn that makes it so enjoyable for me to work with kids. My personal interests include soccer, yoga, golf, snowboarding, hiking, running and swimming. Best of luck on your nanny search!
