I’ve been working with children for the past twelve years. I graduated from the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program at Capilano University in 2004. Since then, I’ve worked in preschools, out of school care, and summer camps. I also have lots of experience with special needs children and providing an inclusive environment for all. I have my Emergency Child Care First Aid/CPR/AED level B. On average, I accomplish 12-20 hours of professional development per year. I also have a valid class 4 Drivers License.
I believe children learn through play. By providing a positive and nurturing environment, it allows children to feel free and safe to explore the world around them. I view children as capable, strong, independent individuals who are always taking in information. Children are full of wonder. I feel I learn as much from them, as they learn from me. Every child is unique in his/her own way and this should be celebrated.
I am extremely flexible and open to new ideas and concepts. I am honest, reliable, responsible and a very determined worker. I am content to do light housekeeping and running any errands for your family.
During my free time, I spend most of it outdoors. I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, snowshoeing, and much more. I also really enjoy baking and trying new recipes.
