Hi there. My name is Jessica, I grew up in Sorrento, and Salmon Arm. I was raised on a horse ranch and have always been involved with the community, whether it be caring for children, 4-H involvement (horse competitions, fundraisers, workshops, seminars, and public speaking). extracurricular activities, and volunteer work. I am very much an outdoors person, an avid reader, and enjoy being in the company of children. I have previously successfully completed an Education Assistant course, and Beginners American Sign Language course. I was employed as a Community Support Worker in the most recent past. As of present, I am a stay at home mom, and I am actively seeking employment in child care, as working with children has always been a passion of mine. At the age of 16-18 I held a nanny position for three boys, aged 4 months, 2 1/2, and 3 1/2. I was very involved in their lives, spending almost every day with them, accompanying the family on outings (such as horse shows), and family trips and holidays. Prior to employment with this family I had a variety of other babysitting jobs. I am a very reliable, patient, and compassionate person. I am intuitive, flexible, and try to always keep an open mind. I have excellent rapport with children of all ages, and hope to gain employment in this field. :) I am looking for a childcare arrangement where I may be able to bring my 19 month old son with me, or provide care from my home!
