Currently I am seeking well paying live-in only nanny opportunities in BC.
I have been working as a nanny for the last 2 years. I decided to be a nanny after graduating from the University of Winnipeg with a BSc in Biohemistry and after receiving a certificate as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I choose this as my career as I love working with kids and doing house keeping, because it's rewarding and it's what I want to do. I humbly apply my educational knowledge to my Childcare position.
I am warm, caring and playful. Children love me right away, probably because I am a child at heart. I am responsible and honest. I am pretty permissive, but I keep close watch and am there to help children with their adventures. I appreciate and encourage children's curiosities. I have been following Gordon Neufeld and I study nature and play-based early childhood education programs. I spend most of my time with early childhood children engaging them in stories, play, outdoor activities, crafts, games, music, dance, body movement. I believe it is important for children to play for learning and their healthy development.
I enjoy preparing food and housekeeping. I am happy to engage children to help me in the kitchen and cleaning, so long as they are happy to help, which usually comes easy as I lead by example by being jovial and happy in what I am doing. Or I take opportunities while children are engaged in play without me to do kitchen or house work.
