My name is Jayme. I have always had a passion for working with kids as every day is a new adventure. I graduated from Mohawk college after completing their three year child and youth worker program. Before that I took many courses in high school to help me in the field (such as: parenting, home economics, psychology, child development and more) as well as completing a dual credit program gaining me some credits toward the ECE college program. I also took different courses at the YMCA that help me when working with kids. When I was twelve I took the babysitters course. I also did my CIT and LIT training and completed my swim instructors and life guard training. I also have up to date CPR and first aid training.

I have always had small children in my life. When I was able to start babysitting I jumped right in to gain more experience. I started by babysitting for family and friends. These children ranged from 3 - 5 years of age and I watched them about once a week. After doing that for almost a year I started to branch out. This is were my experience started to build more. I got a job watching a 2 year old boy. This job was three times a week, 6 hours at a time and lasted about 10 months. This job was terminated due to the family moving away. While I was working there I also did some babysitting for a family with 3 children. Their ages where 10 months, 1.5 years and 3.5 years. This occasional babysitting lasted about three years and I still talk to this family today. I have also had other babysitting jobs off and on throughout the years. When I completed college I did some volunteering at a horse ridding place as well as placements in group homes working with children with disabilities (ages 5 - 12). My one placement turned into a job and I have worked at a group home for approximately a year. Sadly the group home I work at is shutting down so I have to look for another job.

I am very outgoing and creative. I believe in children guiding their own pathways with guidance and support. If you would like to ask me any questions and/or feel like I may be a good fit for you and your family I would love to hear from you!
