About Me
I’m originally born in Lebanon, but I’m Armenian Lebanese and also Canadian. I have previously lived in Toronto, Ontario with my parents and my sister and have done two years of high school there. However, later on my family and I had to return back to Lebanon for personal reasons and I finished my last year of high school there and eventually graduated Haigazian University (an American based university in Lebanon) with a BA in Psychology and a teaching diploma in Special Education. During my university years, I have spent my summers babysitting children and I have also enjoyed other activities such as dancing, playing piano, swimming, and jogging. After graduation I landed a full time job as a special educator at one of the most reputable schools in Lebanon, Saint Mary’s Orthodox College. I worked at that school for two years with children from preschool to grade 5, who had learning disabilities ranging from severe to mild. After my contract ended I decided not to renew since I had already applied to Concordia University in Montreal Quebec and had gotten my acceptance. In 2014 I arrived to the beautiful city of Montreal and started my Masters degree in Child Studies at Concordia University. I have always loved working with children and believe each one of them to be special with their own ideas and opinions; to quote Dr. Seuss, “A person’s a person, no matter how small”.
