Hello,
My name is Fabiola , I am 19 years old and I live Downtown Montreal. I was born in Canada, but moved when I was just 6 months old to Haiti, Port-au-Prince. I grew up in a big family, and most of the time cared for my little cousins, so I always had this love to care for the people around me, whether it was someone younger or olden than me. When I was 17 years old, I moved back to Montreal to live and study what I love, children. When I was younger, I took a summer program at McGill, called CIT, counselor in training. After that program my interest in Child care grew, I did a lot of volunteering in Haiti and Guyana, mostly in orphanages. I loved volunteering, and I learned a lot from these experience with children. I was exposed to poverty my whole life, even if my family was not poor. Poverty is not something you can hide in Haiti, so as a child I grew up wanting to help, and wanting to change it. The only way I could change anything is by volunteering. So it became a hobby, I would visit orphanages on the weekends, spend then day with the kids, sometimes bring them my old toys, or some candy. I love to take care of children, and one day I would love to be able to care for children with special disabilities. I also enjoy photography and reading a good book. Ever sense I was little I knew what I wanted to be and what my interest have been, I am a caretaker, a photographer, and even a bit of bookworm, and I would love to be able to help you care for your children, because we know how life can get, and we all need an extra hand once in a while. :)
