My name is Elle, I am a 24-year-old graduate student doing my MA in English literature at McGill, and I love spending time with children. I come from a very large, tight-knit family, so I have been surrounded by children for my whole life. I know how to soothe crying babies, change diapers, make owies feel better, give advice, referee bickering siblings, teach kids to throw a ball, and make even the crankiest of kids laugh, and I thoroughly enjoy having the opportunity to be a part of a child's life.
I have been babysitting for 12 years, both casually and for one summer as a full-time nanny, so I have experience with taking care of a home and a family. I feel very comfortable helping children with their homework, cleaning, preparing food, and taking care of pets, among other things.
Additionally, I worked for three summers at an after-school/summertime childcare facility, and I have also worked at dozens of kids sports camps, so I have experience with large groups of children as well. I have also worked as a tutor for the past three years, where I have cultivated my teaching skills and patience and understanding.
