I have worked a three different day camps; two of these camps required having children stay in a cabin with me over a period of 6 days and the other camp I worked at I was part of the support staff for the cabin leaders. At these camps kids would come under the care of the leaders for one week dependent on their ages. The youngest was from 6 yrs old and the oldest campers were 17 years old. Working at these camps has made me aware that I come alive when I have engaging children and youth to find their potential. This is through camp teaching camp skills such as basic survival skills, crafts and water sports. Currently I am studying Youth Ministry at Ambrose University College to help aid youth and children to their full leadership potential.
I am a married woman looking for a part time job that can work around my full time summer job for the summer of 2013. I would also be interested in carrying on a part time job once I start school in the fall.
I am interested in playing music, cooking, baking, crocheting and letter writing. I am also willing to teaching some of these skills to children and youth to help enhance themselves.
I love working with children and youth as I find that they always have something to teach me. I find their energy and joy something to be cherished and I value the opportunity to me a mentor and a teacher to them as well.
