    I pursued a career in nursing after High school. After 2 years short it was cut short due to life circumstances. The opportunity to get back in caring for others has only recently surfaced. I am determined to make the best of given opportunities to increase and enhance the wellbeing of others.

      Endorsed: reliable, helpful, great with people

      Deann has worked as a cleaner in our home since October, 2002. Deann is warm, friendly, imaginative, reliable and honest. We are very happy to have been associated with her over these many years. In her youth Deann took some nursing training, and had always wanted to return to that kind of work. I encouraged her to take a one-year course at George Brown College in Community work, and subsequently a two-year course in Activation Co-ordinator/Gerontology which she has just successfully completed. My husband and I are both in our 80s, so have had first hand experience with how Deann relates to seniors. She is friendly, supportive, quick to see what is needed, and in general very helpful - not to mention warm, friendly and competent. I heartily recommend her.
