I have always been dedicated to helping others especially those in need. I believe this stems from my past childhood experiences which were not always positive. Children are our leaders, teachers, helpers, parents, caregivers, Mothers, Fathers, and so much more for the future. I believe if we can guide our own children or the children we care for in the right direction and doing so with love, respect, kindness, compassion and genuine sincerity, hopefully this may help them to grow and understand these qualities also. So that they may pass that on to the next person or persons they encounter and maybe the positive could become more apparent for them. The reason for this explanation is to demonstrate a glance into the worldview I do have. Being an auntie has taught me many things, however also being a full time parent to my nephews now, has also changed my perspective on the world also. I have always been a natural caregiver however now that I have been doing this on a daily basis for some time, it has really shown me that not only am I an auntie but I have been shaped into a mother. My passion for helping others especially children has led me to working on my psychology degree so that I may utilize this experience and knowledge to further enhancing the possibility of becoming a play therapist for children.
