    My name is Cassidy-Anne and I am a first year Practical Nursing student. My clinical placement has been in long-term care from October 2015- present so I have accumulated much experience with a variety of personal care skills and techniques. Some of these skills include communicating with individuals with hearing, vision, or mental deficits (dementia), and creating care plans to improve residents' quality of life. I take pride in assisting the elderly with activities of daily living, and always do my best to ensure dignity and independence when possible.

    My training would include in class courses such as interpersonal relationships and scenario testing, as well as placement in long term care working independently and with guidance from PSWs and RPNs.
