Hello potential employers.
My name is Caitlyn, and I am currently a student at Laurentian University in Sudbury, ON. I am in the Concurrent Education program, majoring in Psychology, aspiring to be an elementary school teacher. I will be in the GTA - specifically Ajax - during the summer (starting April 27/15), and I am currently looking for a full-time job until the end of August.
I have a lot of experience with children in very different areas, including 6 years of babysitting for neighbours and family, tutoring, and school placements within the public school classrooms and environment. For my next placement (2015-2016), I will be able to get the opportunity to work one-on-one and/or coach a child with a learning disability. I also have a valid Police Check, which expires this August.
Along with experience in a classroom, I was an RA for my residence this school year, and I am now the Vice President of Student Council. With these positions, I have learned to manage my time and prioritize engagements. Also, I am currently certified in suicide prevention, with the ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training workshop.
I am patient, reliable, outgoing, a team player, a hard worker, and a very trustworthy and approachable person. I am also a huge animal lover, and I am very passionate about literature and art.
