Matapalo Beach, Costa Rica August 5-31 2013.
I volunteered in Costa Rica for the month of August for the Sea Turtle Conservation. As a volunteer at the Matapalo location I would have responsibilities I had to obtain. One of my responsibilities I had to do was walk the beach at night with a group and find mother turtles hatching their eggs. If we found a turtle hatching eggs the group would have to work as a team taking down information and collecting eggs and having the responsibility to carefully bring the eggs back to our home made hatchery and take care of them until they hatch. Other responsibilities included help cleaning
Anti- Bullying awareness groups. September 2001-June 2008
Throughout public school I was in an anti bullying team which led performances in schools, educating kids that it is okay to tell an adult, and that bullying/violence is never the answer.
Competitive Dance Student – August 2000-April 2012
As I was a full time dance student from a very young age, I have experience with dance costumes, routines, and competition work.
I have learnt to work under pressure from dealing with last minute competition routines, and last minute costume changes. Also by being involved with a team for 12 years of my life it taught me teamwork skills, and leader ship skills.
Assistant Dance Instructor. August 2006-2012
Being an assistant dance instructor gave me the experience to work with younger children. Most of the children that attended these classes were from the ages 4-9. Which had both boys and girls. This taught me how to learn children’s behavior, and how their actions can speak through how they get along with other students in the class.
BabySitter June 2004-2008
Throughout my baby sitting hobby, I baby sat over 15 families, with children from the ages of 6 months-9 years old. I took care of the children in their own houses, and occasionally at my house. My duties insisted of preparing food for the children, cleaning un cleaned sections of the house, and after the children, folding clothing that was left over in laundry machines, and making sure the children were asleep on time. Most of the houses I baby-sat had animals, which I would take care after too. I am very animal friendly.
Personal Photographer November 2014- Current April 2015
As my dutties as a personal photographer I would work one on one with clients. My specialty is dealing with children. I have worked with infants to toddlers, and also of course the older age group from the age of 20years old to 40years old. I work with making portfolios from my indoor studio to fun events outside such as birthday parties, wedding events and sporting events.
