15 years in school system, as a special education assistant, mostly in a life skills/inclusion environment, with a variety of challenges abilities, needs, medical, personal care, support worker, social skills, medications, tube feeding. blood testing, injections, physio and other therapies as directed, accompany special need students to work assignments and assist with, teach practice skills needed for placement, on all levels. As well I have spent time/work with Seniors in a home setting or residential setting, often with dementia and /or mobility issues. Care is Caring, straight across all people of all ages, backgrounds , religions and needs and wants. It is all based on the individual,their needs wants etc, helping to create a day with care and value, laughter and contentment, however that looks for the client themselves> My experiences in school have been very valuable outside of that setting as well, it is just a transference of space , time and age
