Hey there!

My name is Ashley and I’ve just finished my final semester of my undergraduate psychology degree at UBC.  I have a wide history of experience with part-time positions, but have always had a soft spot for a position working with children.

Since I was basically still a kid myself I have been babysitting children of family friends and my many, many cousins in my large extended family.  After that I began to take more regular positions with children ranging from newborns to adolescents.  My most exciting position so far in this field was a one-month au pair/nanny experience in Montreal during the summer of 2010.  I’m currently looking to provide anything from casual to regular childcare, as my schedule is quite open.

> As a working university student I have learned the importance of being organized, reliable and responsible, and I can assure you I am all three.  Also, I know how important it is for a child/children to be comfortable and have fun with their babysitter!  My creativity and use of my academic major (psychology) leads me to believe that I can do my best to understand children so that both of us can have a great time together!
