Hello families!

Starting the first week of November, I am seeking full time employment. I will not be able to accept any work for the month of October, but I will be available to do interviews!

I am a BC born and raised nanny with one young child of my own. I have 10+ years of childcare experience, Infant and Children First Aid/CPR that I renew every 3 years, and I am more than happy to submit a Criminal Record Check upon request.

Currently, I am seeking employment with a family for 4-5 days a week, 30-40 hours a week (daytime hours, weekdays only). My wage ranges from $20-$25 per hour depending on duties. Ideally, I would love to find a long term position. My primary focus is providing quality childcare, as I am not a housekeeper (but I will make sure to tidy throughout the day and clean up after myself and the kids!).

My son is almost 18 months old and I would love to bring him along with me, so I am hoping to find work with a family that has a child close in age to my son - they would each have a friend to spend the day with! :) However, I am flexible and so is my son (he has one midday nap that varies in length based on his daily activity and energy level), so I’d be more than happy to help out a family with any children aged 0-5.

**At this time, I am turning down work for any family that has their child/children enrolled in any preschool, daycare, or community program that does not require all attending adult staff and parents/caregivers to be masked and fully vaccinated**

**I have had both my COVID-19 shots (both doses were Moderna, and I received the second one mid July), and it’s important for me to find a likeminded family to work for to ensure both of our children are safe!**

We live in East Vancouver near Hastings Community Centre, and I would ideally like to find work nearby if possible, but I’m happy to travel a bit further for the right family (I do not drive, but I have extensive knowledge of the transit system in the Lower Mainland). At this time, I am not able to provide childcare out of my own home, but I can provide my own highchair and pack and play for my son, and I’m in the process of researching and purchasing a double stroller.

I am looking for a family that would be comfortable setting up payroll (taxable deductions, overtime, stat holidays, etc. as per the BC Employment Standards Act) and having a contract. I feel this is mutually beneficial and important for both myself and the family I am working for. I have experience with helping families set up both of these things, and would be more than happy to help guide you with this and provide example contracts if necessary, as well as multiple links to help with the payroll process and FAQs.
