I would embrace the opportunity to discover new skills in working with children who have disabilities, whether behavioural, mental or physical. As a person who works with people with disabilities and also deals with disabilities of my own, I feel that I am uniquely qualified.
My training in conjunction with my education and volunteer experience has enabled me to develop strong problem solving, organizational and decision making skills. I can handle a multitude of details at once seeking innovative ways to do things. From previous years of working with the public in a variety of settings my people skills are exceptional and I have always developed an excellent rapport with both colleagues and supervisors.
I adapt easily to a challenge, ready to jump in and do what needs to be done. I am a reliable team player but also work well on my own initiative.

I enjoy working with people (especially children who have physical, emotional or behavioural disabilities). I also enjoy having clear expectations and guidelines for my work, and finding innovative ways to handle situations.
