    My name is Maria , a Western University student going into third year. I was originally born in the Philippines and moved to Canada at the age of 11. I am the eldest of a family of three with my younger siblings being 5 and 10 years younger than I am. Since I am the eldest child in the family, I have had experience taking care of and being surrounded with younger children. I have come to realize that I enjoy being around children and would like to do so more often. Due to this, I have become a Sunday School assistant at the church I attend and help with taking care of the children at church. Having younger siblings and being exposed to younger children allowed me to improve my patience, communication skills, understanding and empathy and I still continue to improve in these areas.
    Overall, I genuinely enjoy the company of children and would be more than happy to help families that are in need of a babysitter.
