knowing that my client is happy is all i need as i feel that we will all be there one day and i would only hope that someone cares for me in similar manner as i care for those i help today. I love what i do

I love what I do as it gives me great sense of pride knowing I have made someones day. I love helping people no matter the situation as one day I will be there too. I grew up with M.S. in my family and what I saw as a kid prepared me to care for those who need assistance with daily living.I also love the 1on1 interaction as this allows trust and respect to grow thus creates friendships to happen on a working level. These people need to feel safe/secure as often the person needing care is also trusting the caregiver with their lives/home/body and money. In my years as a care giver I have seen abuse on all levels and all situations and am disgusted that people would do this to those with disability of any kind. I am one who will stand up/educate for those that cant defend themselves or that need help.

Before the laws changed in Alberta for those working in long term care I had chance to work in a senior group home where I learned many of the aspects that one learns in the HCA programs today I also grew up with M.S. so I knew how to to use lifts as a teen and became well versed in R.O.M and med assist also.

I mainly help those with physical/neurological/ disorders and have little experience with dementia/ Alzheimer's however I am willing to learn

yes.....must be a live out situation and border line full time hours (prefer day time)
