Hello.
My name is Vanessa, and I hope that after reading my profile that you would consider me as the perfect fit for you and your family. I am 18 ( will be 19 in June) and have many years of experience working with children. I am currently living in Seattle, WA but will be back by June 1st and can start immediately after that. I am getting married this September and because of this am looking for a wonderful family to partner with for a full time and long term position. I am looking to stay with a family for at least two -three years.
Working with children and allowing them to become of their fullest potential is one of my biggest passions in life. Previously I have worked at a children's education/ play centre and I have babysat / nannied for many different families. In addition to this I am currently as Intern at a church here in Seattle where I help facilitate and teach children from the ages of 0- grade 6 on a weekly basis.
To tell you a little bit more about me, I was born and raised in Barrie Ontario. I am currently living in Seattle for the school year and will be returning to Barrie in early June. I do have access to a car so commuting with not be any issue. I grew up as a competitive figure skater, and a great student. To say the least I love being active and helping other learn and grow. I am also a play guitar and have a big passion for music/ arts.
For the past 4 years I have been very involved in the lives of young people and have been a volunteer junior high mentor ( ages 10-14) and a senior high leader ( high school students). I have a big passion for doing whatever I can to improve the lives of those around me, and often find myself being apart of local and international missions trips.
