I am currently a Psychology student at Ryerson University with one year left to complete my bachelor's degree. I have extensive experience working with children and am very passionate about working with, helping, and acting as a role model to children. I am fluent in both English and in French and speak conversational Spanish. For the summer, I am living at home with both my parents and our new puppy. I come from a very loving and supportive family and myself grew up with a nanny and consider her part of the family. She continues to work on a weekly basis for my family and has been with us for over 22 years.
Both my parents were born and raised in Canada. My father's side of the family holds English heritage and my mother's side is French Canadian. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading, doing outdoor activities, and catching up with friends. I am an avid traveller and have travelled most of Europe, parts of South and Central America, and much of North America. I enjoy learning about the world and different cultures and experiencing new things.
I am a very hard worker and have always been a high achiever in school and in sports. I currently have a 3. 93 GPA and am a 'Ryerson Student Scholar'. I am very organized, I have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, I am hard working, motivated, and am able to meet multiple deadlines. I am also friendly, outgoing, and respectful of confidentiality.
In my most recent semester I maintained a full course load, volunteered at an elementary school in Regent park as a French Educational Assistant, and tutored a high school student in French. I absolutely adore working with kids and hope to one day complete my masters in clinical psychology to be able to work in children's therapy and continue on to complete a PhD.
