Part time babysitter/nanny/mothers helper in Calgary
Hi, my name is Charlotte but everyone calls me Charly. I am 29 years old and am from England. I have been living in Canada for the last five years and have been working as a nanny the whole time. I love being a nanny and I love living in Canada. I am looking for a part/full time nanny position during the week. I charge $17 an hour for full time and $20 for part time.
I have 5 years of child care experience and will provide 2 references..
More about me: I have been living and working as a nanny in Canada for the last 5 and 1/2 years. I have had the opportunity to live in 3 of Canadas greatest cities Vancouver, Calgary and now Toronto. Up until now I have been a nanny for 3 wonderful yet very different families, who have all become like family to me. I keep in contact with all of them and even talk with them as often as we can. I was born in England but have spent most of my life in Asia. My parents currently still live in Thailand and I have a brother at school in Hong Kong while my other brother is at school in England. I am very close to my family and we all visit each other as much as we can. I went to boarding school in England from the age of 12 and stayed in the UK for University. I studied Publishing at Oxford Brookes University and worked as a nanny throughout my degree. Both my brothers are quite a lot younger than me, 8 and 10 years younger. This is where my babysitting began. I would help my mum look after them during the day, then evenings and would earn my allowance this way. From the age of 14 I began babysitting regularly for family friends in my neighborhood. Over the years this grew to me branching out and meeting families through babysitting and nanny websites. I became a full time nanny while I was living in London for the summer in 2008. I cared for the same children the following year for a longer period of time while I was waiting to move to Vancouver. I found my Vancouver family through a different nanny website, and used Canadian Nanny to find my last nanny position in Toronto. I believe that my experiences caring for children, my family and education have made me a caring, responsible nanny. I have always worked closely with the parents I work for, and observed how they interact and communicate with their children. Consistency is key, and I have seen this work well in all situations with the children I have cared for. Having regular meetings with the parents and discussing their childrens needs have been a great way to keep on top of everything and understand what is expected of me. Being a nanny can be a challenge sometimes, as all kids have their bad days and often just want to be home with mum and dad. Keeping everyone busy with fun packed days, trips to the library and coming up with new craft ideas help keep the ship sailing and everyone excited for what will happen next. I love planning little adventures with my little buddies and seem to learn new things alongside them. If you would like to know more about me, please ask.
