My name is Lauren and I am born and raised on Vancouver Island. I love being in nature, going on adventures, and experiencing the beauty of where we live. I am currently a student at Camosun College in the Community, Family, and Child Studies Diploma Program. In the future I intent to further my studies into a degree program at UVIC and then towards a Masters program in Art therapy or nature play/therapy for children and families.
I have experience working with children of all ages and have excellent references.
I enjoy caring for children and am always excited to share the magic and wonder of life with the children that I care for. I would consider myself to be patient, kind, grounded, empathetic, adventurous, friendly, and open minded. Caring for children comes naturally to me and it is a fun way to get in touch with play and my inner child. I love singing songs, cooking healthy food, exploring in nature, creating works of art, cuddling up on the couch reading a great story, and of course having fun. I hope I can share what I love with the children I nanny for.
I am willing to be responsible for assisting children in their needs of daily life. This may include caring for them, cooking meals, preparing snacks, and assisting them with bathing and dressing. I am happy to assist children with extracurricular activities and help them with developing social skills. I have a car and am able to perform house hold tasks, such as grocery shopping, picking ups, drop offs, etc.
I am also a great help around the house and more than willing to perform house hold chores, cooking, and cleaning.
