I am currently enrolled in my fourth year of the Concurrent Education program at Brock University. As an aspiring teacher I have a thorough understanding of child development and recognize the importance of providing stimulating and holistic care.
Energetic and positive, yet reliable and professional, I have a passion for working with children and am seeking full-time employment as a nanny or caregiver for the summer months. Many years of babysitting experience, as well as volunteer work, have provided me with the knowledge, tools and communication skills necessary to care for both infants and young children. My previous job experience includes working as a special needs camp counsellor offering one-one-one support for children with varying mental and/or physical disabilities, such as Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. I have also served as a tutor, mentor and mother's helper.
I am very versatile and would be able to work in the Oakville or Halton area. I am a responsible driver with my own vehicle and would be willing to help out with daily household duties or errands. I can provide an updated police check (with vulnerable sector screening), proof of a valid CPR certification and references upon request.
