I was raised in a two parent house hold, with three other siblings. I have always enjoyed being around children, growing up with three other children, as well as countless cousins and second cousins. I grew up doing various babysitting jobs for family as well as neighbors and close family friends, ranging in age from infant to pre-teen. I am 100 comfortable caring for more than one child at once, as well as performing the required tasks that parents request, like feedings, changing, exercise, play time and bed and bath time.
I am also extremely comfortable around any child that holds a disability. I grew up with a disabled brother, as well as being around other disabled children through my brothers extra curricular activities. I understand that parents of disabled children are sometimes unwilling to allow their children to be in the care of another person, but I guarantee that in my care, they will be treated with respect, dignity, and all the proper care that any other parent would expect for their child.
I am a recent graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, completing a four year program to achieve a Bachelors Degree in History, so I understand the meaning of the word dedication, as well as hard work. I want to provide a safe and comfortable environment for a child, as well as give parents the guarantee that their child will be well taken care of.
