My name is Anna, or Anni, as I'm more commonly known, and I am a certified educator. I live in Mount Pleasant and I am a full-time teacher-on-call with the Vancouver school district, #39 . I am available and open to work to support your family after school, on weekends, as well as overnights (your place preferred but I'm open to discussion).

I am originally from Australia and have been living in Canada for five wonderful years! Most recently, I've been working for the Vancouver School Board. Prior to, I spent a 18 months with St. George's Senior School, as faculty (English, Express Theatre Cohort, Socials 10), as yoga teacher and debate coach, and, as house parent to 109 students living in boarding.

Previously, I worked as volunteer faculty with experiential education program, Class Afloat. This program sees six volunteer faculty crew working together with a small maritime crew and 44 school-aged youth to deliver a rigorous academic program, facilitate port excursions, and participate in professional tall ship sail training, as we sailed half-way around the world and back during the 2015-16 school year!

This experience has taught me to take each and every opportunity to exploit teachable moments and to extract the very most from the myriad of experiences we have encountered, from sailing through Force 8 winds and 15 metre seas, working with orphaned children in Senegal’s SOS Village, to visiting the locals in Tristian da Cunha, the remotest inhabited island in the world.

I love working with babies and young people of all ages, though I must say, I seem to have a knack for engaging elementary-aged kiddos and teens.

I am passionate about learning and education and take a hands-on approach to make learning fun! I love working with youth of all ages and looking forward to learning how I can support your family!

RATES

1 child (any age) - $20/hr
for each additional child - $5/hr

(this also includes light housekeeping - washing dishes, tidying up, cleaning animal cages, grooming animals, etc.)

* If any of the children are under 4 years of age, my cap is three children.

** If all of the children are 4 years of age, or older, my cap is 6 children. I am also open to working with multiple families if that is something you want to consider.

I want to be as transparent as possible, while assuring you that your children are always in excellent care when they're with me! You can expect a punctual, reliable and structured caregiver, who is super active and loves to provide positive educative experiences for your littles!
